Learn about the cultivation and management of low-till market garden soils. Discuss agronomist soil testing and consulting, and thus the scientific aspects that underpin their soil practices. Participate in some garlic planting, using specialised compost and amendments.
The workshop will include a guided tour of Caring Farms Co-Op.
Transition 3081 hold an Olympic Village food swap in Heidelberg West rain, hail or shine every 1st Saturday of the month 10-11am. Come along to this very popular community event. Also, if you are interested in helping with the day, they would love to hear from you.
These monthly sessions will cover planting, harvesting and all the jobs required in the garden each month.

This is their monthly working bee which is a social activity with everyone welcome. Their working bee coordinator will conduct an introduction at the start of the day so that you know what’s on the agenda. Go along and help pull some weeds, turn some compost or just go for a cup of tea.
