FareShare kitchen garden was created in 2016 on a strip of wasteland between Victoria Park railway station and Victoria Park oval to grow vegetables for FareShare – Australia’s largest charity kitchen.

There are 70 beds created by volunteers. Visitors can tour the garden which is currently producing eggplant, zucchini, carrots, silverbeet, Jerusalem artichoke and a trial crop of sweet potato varieties.

The Backyard Honey beekeeper will also be in the garden to remind us all about the important role healthy local bees play in supporting our productive edible garden.
