This interactive workshop is for Local Government staff involved in supporting the local food economy and tourism, community development and health and wellbeing planners and policy makers, as well as community food groups, food entrepreneurs, businesses and enterprise – both start-ups and those looking to expand their activities. Devita Davison will draw from her experience as the Co-Director of FoodLab Detroit to discuss the enabling environment needed for businesses working to create a fairer food system to thrive. Devita will share case studies from FoodLab Detroit and businesses will have the chance to share the challenges and the opportunities that they face now and in the future.
