  1. Disappointed this event is during business hours. How do people that are working full time participate in the community project?

    • Hi Sylvia, thanks for your comment. It’s a good one and an issue we have been trying to solve. The Watsonia Library Community Garden is still in the beginning stages so we have the opportunity to make changes. Making the garden accessible for everyone is important. Over the next few weeks we have two garden talks both on Tuesday mornings: one this Tuesday 21 April at 11am on community gardening, and another on Tuesday 5 May on setting up and maintaining a worm farm. From then on, we plan to hold some information sessions on Saturdays.

Community members are welcome to go into the garden and add some plants or do some weeding any time the library is open, sometimes you need to ask for the key at the information desk. If you would like to meet at the library for a chat please let me know as it would be great to share what we have been up to in the garden.

      Thanks, Felicity
