Makes 8 jars
Ingredients
3kg mulberries, pulped
1kg apples, preserved from earlier season
juice of 2 lemons
750g sugar for each 1kg of fruit
Method
Peel apples and cook in a little water until tender. Add mulberries and lemon juice.
When boiling, add the sugar gradually, carefully stirring to dissolve and boil until the jam sets. It usually does not need the whole amount of sugar.
Can use frozen mulberries. Also try guavas instead of mulberries.

I made this, it was amazing and set very well. Thanks
I have just made this jam and it’s very good.
In other recipes, they say use pectin as mulberries are low on it and to only make small amounts as the pectin can boil away ! Does your set ok ? I like your recipe as it makes 8 jars in one hit. Regards Mike.
Apple is high in pectin I believe, so it should provide tha balance needed for the mulberry to set.
