Hurstbridge Learning Coop Primary School permablitz

The Hurstbridge Learning Coop Primary School has embraced permaculture as a design system for sustainability and education and is now ready to hold its first Permablitz. Activities will include: setting up the community nursery/greenhouse; a chance to learn how to make a wicking garden bed & how to set up and plant a food forest; planting a semi circle banana garden; planting vines; and helping build a geodome structure for the chooks. There will also be workshops specially for the kids, including bush mandala making, craft and lots of nail, hammer and wheelbarrow action. The school will provide morning and afternoon tea, plus a scrumptious lunch for all.

The school looks forward to strengthening their bond with the community, and they would like to extend the invitation to prospective families who are interested in finding out more about the school as vacancies have now become available.
