There will be around weekday evening sessions between 14th July and 6th November, each 6.30-9.30pm, plus some weekend days.

This is a classroom-based, theoretical course with site visits, not a hands-on, practical or gardening course. Topics to be covered will include:

  • The ecological basis of permaculture: global climate, weather & ecology.
  • Permaculture design methodology.
  • Social applications: permaculture design in the broader contexts of communities.
  • Permaculture in built environments and technologies.
  • Implementing permaculture: business strategies, personal strategies and practicing permaculture beyond the PDC.
