Sowing edible crops

Learn how to sow seeds including lettuce, radish, peas, beetroot and rocket into growing containers that can be found around the house (e.g. milk and egg cartons). Learn about safety while gardening, feel the seed raising mix and various textures of the seeds, write plant labels for identification and learn how to transfer your seed punnets into your garden.

This program is a part of the Cire ‘Create, Play and Grow’ initiative and is designed to encourage the bond between young children and their parents, guardian or carers and develop an appreciation for the natural landscape.
