Come along to share your produce & compare notes with other food gardeners.
Bring along any veggies, fruit or herbs you have harvested, also eggs, preserves, recipes are welcome. Be inventive! You can also bring some things that not everyone else is growing at this time of year. This is a non-commercial event – no money changes hands.

Look for the large white ‘Local Food Connect’ marquee at the Farmers’ Market. Go along with your homegrown fruit and veggies, favourite seasonal recipes, spare jam jars, homemade labelled preserves, etc, and share and network with other local backyard growers.

Transition 3081 hold an Olympic Village food swap in Heidelberg West rain, hail or shine every 1st Saturday of the month 10-11am. Come along to this very popular community event. Also, if you are interested in helping with the day, they would love to hear from you.
On the same day, there is a community shared cart of herbs where people can either take or donate herbs.

Bring your excess garden produce along and swap for other wonderful produce. A great way to meet others with similar garden interests. Great meals, coffee and cakes next door at Two Beans and a Farm.
Also, contact them to register your interest in leasing a plot at the community garden.
No swap in December.
Not held in January.
In all the months except January, the swap is held on the first Sunday of the month. In January, it is held on the second Sunday.
Usually, but not always, at The Monty Hub, 1-3 Mountainview Road, Montmorency, 3094 (check on their Facebook page).
The food swap is sometimes followed by a talk.
