Backyard chooks for families

This workshop with farmer Raewyn is for families with children over the age of eight to learn the basics of backyard chicken keeping. It will cover the characteristics of different breeds (in order to make a selection that suits your setting and needs) as well as the housing and care of chickens. Participants will leave with the knowledge and confidence to begin keeping chickens and producing their own free-range eggs.
