Ingredients

5½ kg tomatoes
1kg onions
1kg granny smith apples
700g bottle brown vinegar
1kg sugar
91g salt
½ small packet of cloves
black peppers
chillies
pimento (allspice)
27g garlic

Method

Chop tomatoes, onions and apples.  Cook for 2 hours and then strain (or place in blender before cooking). 

Add vinegar, sugar and salt. Place spices in a muslin bag (or one of those small gift bags) and add to sauce.  Cook 2-3 hours until thickened.

Place bottles on a damp cloth when filling.  Bottle hot. Enjoy!!
