Public housing community gardens

Cultivating Community is an organisation funded to support public housing tenants’ community gardens. You will start in the Lennox Street Community Garden (near Victoria Street) and then walk to Highett Street Community Garden (corner of Belgium Avenue and Vere Street) via a small open communal garden. You will see the diverse cultural plants from Asia and Europe which are grown there. The tour will highlight the significance of produce grown, with a tasting at the end to explore how they’re used in cooking.
